We will show our new piece "You need to consider the market, Christoph!" at the upcoming Viennafair 2011 at the Gallery Frey booth A0528b. Easy to remember! Plus: don't forget the colour of your sofa when you go to see an art fair.

The new year starts off with our first solo exhibition in Gallery Frey’s basement in the rough-but-upcoming-neighbourhood between Kaisergruft, Reinthaler and Tirolerhof in Vienna’s 1st district – opening on Tuesday, 11th of January 2011. We simply had no time to think of something new, so we chose to show ARGE's last two projects, ‘Supercargo’ and ‘Gift Economy Worker Kyoto’ which have been merged in the title “Overseas Assignments” (we googled it and found 223.000 results, so it seems to be a terrific title for a show!) And what else to fill up this space? Bernhard Garnicnig wrote a nice text on ‘Supercargo’, read it here. Special thanks to the shipping company NSB Niederelbe Schiffahrtsgesellschaft, who have been very generous with their support throughout the last months. We will show our new video installation "Supercargo" on the occasion of "Moved, mutated and disturbed identities- Part II" at DDM Warehouse, Shanghai. The opening is on Tuesday next week, so the Europeans might jump in the Transiberian railroad to make it in time. Here is more information, the news in China are full of it. Finally the offical concert times for the "Hybrid Orkestra" in the city park Krems have been approved: The installation will be running every day in the morning between 5:30 and 6:30am. So take your dogs and kids out and listen to the sound of birds imitating ringtones and old cellphones imitating... ah.. birds. Read more here or visit the website of the Viertelfestival.

Sound installation consisting of 20 recycled mobile phones playing a concert together with the singing birds in the trees of the city park in Krems (next to the Donaufestival venue you might know). Starting from May 15th, the "Hybrid Orkestra" will be on show everyday in the early morning hours (roughly around 6am) until August 8th 2010. The project is part of the annual Viertelfestival- for more information click here. 

We misused one of the most helpful web applications for producing a classical genre work: a digital selfportrait, representing the facial appearance of Christian Schwab by a grid of questions, slogans, beliefs, facts, wishes and decisions, colliding with each other to form binary truth in green or red. We’ve never ever been so honest, really. See the results here.

We were invited to take part in the 2009/2010 edition of the Art Workshop held by the Casino Luxembourg - this year together with the Asia-Europe Foundation. For two weeks 18 eurasian artist/art groups met to collaborate and produce a show on the topic of "Moved, mutated and disturbed identities" together. The works will be exhibited in the Casino from 19th of July until 6th of September 2009.
